All of us are created with a God-shaped hole in which nothing that we can attain or desire will fill it. When we look around the world, it is obvious that sin continues to decay society and morality. We are part of the problem. Each of us is born with a sinful nature. Romans 3:22-23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Sin is what separates us from God because it is the polar opposite of who He is – love. There is only one way to find that love and that is through Jesus Christ. How do we find it? It’s easy! We have an amazing God who sent His only Son Jesus to earth, to die on a cross in order to make a way for our sin. That is love! And He desires nothing more than to love you. He wants to walk alongside you in your journey of life today and forever. Jesus offers you that free gift. If you would like that relationship, Jesus gives you an opportunity today and that is through prayer. Prayer is talking with God. It doesn’t have to be eloquent, but rather from the heart. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Pray by asking Jesus into your heart, that you are sorry for your sin, thankful that Jesus took your sin on the cross, and that from now on you now live for Him.
