National and International Ministry Outreach & Trips
First Covenant Church will be sending a team to Amundsen Educational Center in Soldotna, AK in March 2014. The team will be working alongside the Native Alaskan students that come from some of the remote villages with a goal of acquiring a vocational degree in Residential Construction from the Building Hope Construction program. Other opportunities may include working with other students enrolled at the New Frontier Vocational Technical Center. In either area of interest, it is a great opportunity to interact with these young men and women in order to gain a perspective of what it is like growing up in rural and remote Alaska. For more information, please contact Mike Fabrizius at 785-820-2926 or email@example.com.
Every other year our church sends a team to work on construction and office projects at the Amundsen Educational Center in Soldotna, Alaska. Team members work alongside students from remote villages. We encourage them and are a witness to them of Christ’s love as we work together during the day, and participate in activities together in the evenings.
NOTE: For those wishing to participate in our Midwest Covenant Conference yearly mission trip to our conference’s sister church in Mountain Village, Alaska; please contact the conference office. -- 402-334-3020, Ext. 1360, firstname.lastname@example.org
Every other year our church sends a team to work on construction and other ministry projects with the Evangelical Covenant Churches in Argentina. We are developing a long term sister church relationship with our denomination’s churches as we partner with them in ministry that helps them with their ministry goals, and edifies and encourages our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Every other year our church sends a team to the Huasteca region of Central Mexico where we have developed a sister church relationship with a group of 24 Evangelical churches located within a four hour radius of each other. Ministries that we participate in are the construction of a seminary to train and develop present and future pastors; teaching seminars for the pastors, their spouses and church leaders; children’s ministry; and the development of micro-businesses in the communities. Future plans are to help with the construction of churches when the seminary building is completed.

Every few years, people in our church family go to Nairobi, Kenya to participate in ministry to children and youth at the First Love Orphanage. They also do ministry to children, youth, and women in one of the world’s largest slums. If you are interested in participating in this trip at sometime in the future, please indicate that to the person who is the church contact listed above.
Our World Missions Ministry Team wants to give the opportunity to people in our church family to travel to the locations where our own church’s missionaries are ministering. The purpose of the trip would be to encourage our missionaries, as well as help them with ministry projects in which they wish our participation. If you are interested in participating in this kind of a mission trip at sometime in the future, please indicate that to the person who is the church contact listed above.
